The Dehumidifier uses Peltier Technology (no compressor) which makes it light and quiet. It is perfect bathrooms, and small to mid-sized rooms where dampness and humidity are a problem. This unit is small enough to easily fit on your desk or workbench. It extracts the moisture from the air and stores it in a spill-proof reservoir. Just plug it in and it quietly dries the air. Features UV & TiO2 (Photocatalytic Oxidation)
UV Light and TiO2 filter helps to kills germs and bacteria, operates automatically when unit is turned on.
Photocatalytic oxidation is achieved when combine UV light rays with a TiO2 coated filter. TiO2 refers to Titanium Oxide. This process creates hydroxyl radicals and super-oxide ions, which are highly reactive electrons. These highly reactive electrons aggressively combine with other elements in the air, such as bacteria and VOCs. VOC is an acronym for Volatile Organic Compounds, which include harmful pollutants such as formaldehyde, ammonia and many other common contaminates released by building materials and household cleaners generally found in the home.
Once bound together, the chemical reaction takes place between the super-charged ion and the pollutant, effectively "oxidizing" (or burning) the pollutant. This breaks the pollutant down into harmless carbon dioxide and water molecules, making the air more purified.
Light Indicator
When your tank is full of moisture, your MHI-5100i will light up an indicator to let you know that the reservoir needs to be emptied. This makes it very comprehensive and easy to maintain your dehumidifier without worrying about its effectiveness.
Tank Size & Effectiveness
The MHI-5100i's tank is 1.5 liters and can absorb moisture from 20 sq metre at 380ml a day. For bathrooms where humidity is a daily occurrence, the MHI-5100i will make a perfect solution to any mold or mildew growth. |
